Police are appealing for information after gates installed as part of a newly-built bypass were stolen.

The theft of the seven 12ft galvanised gates is believed to have occurred in the Llanfaglan/Bontnewydd area over the weekend of February 26th and 27th.

The gates were put up as part of the A487 Caernarfon to Bontnewydd bypass which opened last month.

PCSO Rhys Evans from the North Wales Police Rural Crime Team said: “Any information please contact me on the community alert or through NWP website quoting ref no 22000141697.”
