Pedestrians Seriously Injured In Rhyl

An appeal for witnesses is being made after pedestrians have been left with serious injuries following a collision in Rhyl this morning (Thursday, February 27th).

At 09:29 police received a report of a collision involving a black Toyota Yaris and two pedestrians on Wellington Road.

Temporary Sergeant Medwyn Williams of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are trying to trace the driver of a blue Dacia Sandero who was indirectly involved in the collision. Due to the manner of their driving it caused the Toyota Yaris to swerve and collide with two pedestrians.

“The driver of the Dacia is being urged to contact us as soon as possible.”

Emergency services attended the scene and both pedestrians were taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by the Welsh Ambulance Service with what is described as having serious injuries.

Anybody who may have witnessed the incident and who is yet to come forward is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit quoting incident number Y027750.
