Motorcyclist in life-threatening condition after crash on Anglesey

A motorcyclist is in a life-threatening condition following a crash on Anglesey last night.

Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision shortly before 7.30pm on the B4422 near Bethel, Bodorgan involving a silver coloured Yamaha motorcycle and a Vauxhall Astra.

The emergency services attended, and the motorcyclist, who is in his early 20s, was airlifted to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool with life-threatening injuries.

Sergeant Meurig Jones of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses.

He said: “We know that the motorcyclist had travelled from Llangefni, along the B4422 through Rhostrehwfa, and then continued through to Llangristiolus.

“The collision occurred just outside Bethel in Bodorgan and I am urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have seen the motorcycle being ridden just prior to the collision to contact us.

“I am also urging anybody who may have been in the vicinity and who may have dash cam to come forward.”
