Man in his 80s dies following crash involving 4×4 in village near Ruthin

A man has died following a crash in a village near Ruthin yesterday morning.

Police were called at 11.14am to a report that a collision had occurred involving a 4×4 utility vehicle on an unclassified road in Pentre-celyn.

Emergency services attended the scene however the man, who was aged in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Liam Ho from North Wales Police’s Roads Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are very much with the man’s family at this difficult time. An investigation is now underway to establish the cause of the collision.

“We are appealing to anybody who may have been in the area around the time of the collision to contact us.”
