Man arrested after woman found in ‘distressed state’ in Barmouth dies

A man has been arrested after a woman who was found in a “distressed state” in Barmouth died.
Police were called at 10.56pm last night to Marine Parade in the town in Gwynedd.
Officers attended alongside paramedics, but sadly the woman passed away.
The death is currently being treated as suspicious, and a local man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Detectives are continuing investigations at the scene this morning, and the local coroner has been informed.
