A lamb has died after sustaining “horrific injuries” in a livestock attack in Conwy county.

The attack, which is believed to have been carried out by a dog, happened yesterday morning (Wednesday, 9 November) on the outskirts of Llangernyw.

Police said the ewe lamb had to be “humanely dispatched” due to the extent of its injuries and are now investigating the incident.

Officers from North Wales Police’s Rural Crime Team said: “We have decided not to share images of the injuries due to the horrific nature of them.

“It’s sometimes hard to express just how much injury can be caused by a dog not properly controlled. Any help you can give please contact us via 101.”
