A large fire is being tackled by fire crews in Prestatyn this evening.

The blaze erupted around 8pm.

Local Councillor Paul Penlington shared these images from the scene, saying “Major fire at the far end of the Ffrith right now. Fire service on the scene.”

Later he added, “Update: mostly out now. Three engines and a few cars at the scene making sure it stays out. Anybody know anyone who came home smelling of smoke earlier?”

“Whoever did this put the lives of fire service officers at risk and the buildings at the Ffrith. It’s hard to print my thoughts but they are bloody idiots at best.”
