Elderly woman airlifted to hospital after crash on A470 near Llanrwst

An elderly woman has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A470 near Llanrwst.

Three other people also received treatment after the collision in Maenan at around 3.10pm this afternoon.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have information to come forward.

Sergeant Jason Diamond said: “A blue Mazda 6 and a black Peugeot 208 were involved in a collision.

“An elderly lady was taken to Stoke hospital by air ambulance and three other casualties were involved, some requiring treatment.

“We are appealing to anybody who was in the area or may have witnessed the collision that occurred at approximately 3.10pm to contact us.

“The collision occurred near the entrance to the Maenan Abbey Hotel.”

Anybody with information or dash cam footage that could assist the investigation is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting incident number Z138698.
