A man who was caught driving at 109mph on the A55 on Anglesey has been shamed for his potty excuse.

The driver was spotted yesterday whilst travelling past an unmarked police car at Pentre Berw.

After he was stopped, he told officers he’d been travelling at high speed as he needed the toilet.

He has since been reported for the offence with North Wales Police’s roads policing unit issuing a warning about speeding.

Posting on Facebook, officers said: “We know that when you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go…however, driving at 109mph on the A55 at Pentre Berw ‘just because you need the toilet’ is unacceptable.

“Driver passed one of our unmarked cars on the A55 on Anglesey yesterday going a bit toooo fast.

“Driver reported. And we hope he made it to the nearest loo in time.”
