A man from Denbighshire has been jailed for dealing heroin and cocaine as part of a County Lines operation.

Michael Hill, 25, of Ffordd Pennant, Meliden, was sent to prison yesterday having admitted six charges of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs in January of this year.

He was arrested as part of Operation Lili Wen Fach, which targeted County Lines activity across Denbighshire.

Hill, who had been recalled to prison having breached the terms of his licence, was sentenced to four years for each offence, to run concurrently.

Speaking after the sentencing, Detective Chief Inspector Emma Naughton said: “Today sees the first of several cases involving those arrested in a recent joint operation with Merseyside Police tackling the supply of drugs in our community.

“I welcome the sentences, which send a clear message that criminal activities such as these will not be tolerated.

“We will continue to relentlessly pursue those that bring misery and danger to our towns and villages.

“Our message is clear: there is no place for drug dealing in north Wales and those that seek to gain from criminality are not welcome.”
