Police in part of Conwy have faced a busy 24 hours after making 12 arrests for a range of offences including an assault on an officer.

North Wales Police’s west Conwy coastal team has also locked people up for domestic violence, theft from vehicles, fraud and drug supply.

Inspector Daf Curry said it showed officers were still working hard to tackle criminals during the coronavirus pandemic.

He said: “The demand on officers has not stopped. I am really proud of the effort of the local policing team who were supported by the Interceptor team, CID and dog unit yesterday.

“I’d also like to thank the public for their assistance and patience whilst we dealt with a high volume of incidents.

“We are determined that those few who want to cause misery to others will be dealt with robustly.”
