Derelict Cerrigydrudion Farm Building to be Transformed into Self-Catering Holiday Home with Yoga Room

A derelict Cerrigydrudion farm building could be converted into a self-catering holiday home complete with yoga room.
Nicholas Charlton of Holmbridge has applied to Conwy County Council’s planning department, seeking permission for a conversion and change of use of a disused farm outbuilding at Cefnhirfynydd Uchaf Ffordd Pant Y Griafolen.
The applicant wants to transform the building into holiday accommodation with supervised tourism walks.
The conversion includes a proposed small-side extension, a rear sun room or yoga room, and small rear plant room, together with parking.
The site is part of a group of buildings historically used as a working farm.
If the planning application is granted, the building will be used as either a single let or individual en-suite rooms with shared cooking dining and relaxation areas.
The holiday home would then be used to provide walking tours, together with relaxation therapies as an added option.
The ground floor would consist of two ensuite bedrooms, a communal kitchen and dining room with lounge and sitting area, a snug meeting room with an open fire, and a yoga room for up to six people to exercise.
There will also be a utility room to house a washing machine and drier, boot drying room, and small external plant room.
The first floor will consist of three bedrooms, two with ensuites, one communal bathroom and WC, linen store, and a bat loft.
According to the application, the holiday home will provide job opportunities, encouraging tourism in the area.
The applicant maintains the historical form and appearance of the farm will be maintained.
