Class A drugs, cash and phones have been seized as part of a bid to stop the supply of illegal substances in Gwynedd.

Officers from North Wales Police and Merseyside Police took part in a joint operation in the area on Friday.

Several people were stopped under the Misuse of Drugs Act, with four found to be in possession of illegal drugs and two driving without insurance.

Following on from the operation, officers received information regarding drug dealing in the area.

This resulted in a local woman being arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs over the weekend.

An amount of Class A drugs were seized, as well as further controlled drugs, cash and phones following further searches.

PC Mason, from the neighbourhood tasking team, said: “This weekend was a further step in disrupting and pursuing drug activity and criminality in the Gwynedd North area.

“We will continue to act on information received by the local community.

“I urge anyone with concerns to contact North Wales Police via 101 or anonymously via CrimeStoppers on 0800 555111 or via the online form.”
