A young boy from Caernarfon was given a warm welcome home from hospital today when he was met with a special police escort.

Hari Jones, who suffers from a rare muscular condition, returned home from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool today and was met with a police escort from the roads policing unit.

Earlier on in the day colleagues from Merseyside Police escorted the four-year-old to the M53 motorway.

He was then met by a police biker and a roads policing BMW on the Felinheli bypass and was escorted with blue lights to his home address where he was given a warm welcome by family and friends.

PC Scott Martin from the Roads Policing Unit said: “We know that Hari loves the emergency services so we were only too happy to oblige.

“It was lovely to see his face light up today when we turned up to welcome him back home. We wish him and his family all the best with settling back at home and we hope to see him again very soon.”

Hari was presented with a roads policing white cap, a hi-vis vest and a Playmobil police car.
