Armed police in Rhyl arrest man for alleged drink driving offence

Armed police in Rhyl have arrested a man for an alleged drink driving offence.

Members of the Alliance Armed Policing Unit, which covers North Wales and Cheshire, reported the incident on Twitter this morning.

They said the vehicle was spotted by a police dog unit before being pulled over with the assistance of an armed response vehicle.

They added: “Following positive breath sample he now has a court appearance to look forward to.”

North Wales Police has been asked for further details.
