Woman suffers serious injuries after Dolgellau crash

A woman is in hospital with serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Dolgellau.

Shortly before 2am on Saturday, (April 13th) emergency services were called to a report of single-vehicle collision on the A494 in Rhydymain involving a black Ford Focus.

The driver was initially taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “Officers are urging anybody who may have been travelling along the A494 during the early hours of Saturday and who may have dash cam footage, to contact officers at the Roads Crime Unit via the website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 24000336644.”

The road re-opened shortly before 11am on Sunday (April 14th).
