Woman dies in Gwynedd hotel fire as joint investigation launched into cause

A woman has died during a hotel fire in Gwynedd it’s been confirmed as police launch an investigation into the cause.

Emergency services were called to Bontddu Hall in Bontddu, near Dolgellau just after 9am this morning after the blaze broke out.

A woman was rescued from the property by firefighters but sadly died at the scene.

The cause of the fire will be the subject of a joint investigation by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
