Three arrested after assault and anti-social behaviour in Prestatyn

North Wales news and information

Three arrests have been made following reports of assault and anti-social behaviour in Prestatyn.

The incidents happened in the Gas Works Lane area of the town, following which a 20-year-old local man and two youths have been questioned.

They have since been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue.

North Wales Police said high visibility patrols will continue in the area of the lower High Street and Gas Works Lane.

District Inspector Kevin Smith said: “We have been in contact with local schools, youth clubs and parents regarding the behaviour of a small number of children.

“This work will continue, as anti-social behaviour which negatively impacts our community will not be tolerated.

“We will deal with any further incidents robustly, and I would ask parents to ensure they know where their young people are when they are not in school.”
