A man from Rhyl has been jailed for seven years for his involvement in selling Class A drugs.

Sam Stopforth, 32, of Norman Drive was sentenced today having initially been caught with in excess of £11,000 worth of the most dangerous category of drugs.

He was later caught again dealing heroin and crack cocaine by local officers.

Chief Inspector David Cust said: “County Lines drug dealing destroys lives and damages communities, we are relentless in our pursuit of organised crime groups, and I would like to thank the local community for their ongoing co-operation with us.

“We have recently invested heavily in our serious and organised crime capabilities, however we rely on information coming from the public and would encourage anyone who has any information which may assist us to tackle serious and organised crime to contact the independent charity CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 11.”
