Police in Gwynedd have seized a significant amount of cannabis and cash after two people were arrested on suspicion of intent to supply.

Last night, officers stopped a vehicle in Barmouth where the haul was discovered.

A man and woman from the Harlech area were arrested for being in possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.

The team went on to conduct a house search, finding further evidence in support of the offence the 2 were arrested for.

Police have now issued a reminder, that whilst they are working hard to ensure compliance with the coronavirus restrictions, they are still focused on safeguarding communities from organised crime.

District Inspector Matt Geddes said: “The support from our communities at present is exceptional. We are working hard to protect you from the harm this sort of criminality creates.

“Please keep the information coming in, COVID won’t stop us acting to safeguard you.

“If you don’t want to speak to us directly then call CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100% anonymous.”
