Police say man whose body was found on Llandudno beach has now been identified

North Wales Police has issued an update on a man whose body was found on a breach in Llandudno.

Officers were called at 8.40am last Wednesday to reports of the body being discovered near to Craigside.

It led to an investigation being launched as police appealed for helped identifying the man, whose death was said to be unexplained.

In a statement released this afternoon, the force said it had been successful in identifying him.

Officers said: “Following our appeal for information the body of a man found on the beach near to Craigside, Llandudno on December 9 has been identified.

“He is local to the area and his family have been informed.”
