Police are appealing for information after a burglary at a convenience store in Prestatyn in the early hours of this morning.

The incident took place at the Co-op on Victoria Road after the store’s alarm was set-off at around 2.15am.

It’s believed three people were involved in the burglary with officers raising the possibility a car which was stolen from the area may have been used by the offenders.

North Wales Police said: “Unfortunately there was a burglary at the Co-Op on Victoria Road overnight.

“The alarm was set-off at around 2.15am and there would appear to have been three offenders.

“We are also interested in the movements of a red Ford Fiesta which may be connected.

“This is possibly the same Fiesta which was stolen from Station Road, Prestatyn overnight.

“If you saw anything suspicious please contact us on 101 quoting ref B086898.”
