Police have said they “have beef” with a suspected shoplifter who’s been accused of a high value theft from a shop in Llanrwst.

Officers are investigating an incident which occurred at the Co-op on Plough Street on Wednesday (March 2nd 2022), during which the suspect placed numerous items of meat and bottles of alcohol into a trolley.

He then tried to leave the store without making an attempt to pay.

In a humorously-worded Facebook post, members of the Conwy and Denbigh Rural Policing Team said: “We have a beef with this guy. Take a butchers at the below still image, do you recognise this person?

“If you do or believe that you can assist us with our enquires please contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference number 22000149984 as we would like to give him a good grilling. It’s rare that these people get away with it.”
