Police arrest and bail man following “independent operational sting” streamed live on Facebook

North Wales Police have issued a short statement this afternoon following an incident in Harlech yesterday.

Police have described what happened in Harlech as an “independent operational sting”, with video of the ‘operation’ already widely shared on Facebook with over 100,000 views of two live feeds.

In the statement police say, “We have been made are aware of a video that has appeared on social media, following the arrest of a male, who was the subject of an independent operational sting in Harlech yesterday.

“He has since been released on bail.

“The police would like to reassure the public at this time that investigations are continuing into the matter.”
