Police are appealing for information following the theft of a high value piece of farming equipment.

A lamb feeder is reported to have been stolen from a farm in the Pontllyfni area of Gwynedd, near to the A499 road between Caernarfon and Pwllheli.

The incident is believed to have happened sometime between December 30th last year and February 2nd this year.

PCSO Rhys Evans is now urging farmers to be careful when placing high value items on farms and to report any suspicious behaviour to police immediately.

He said: “Equipment and tool security can be a particular issue for rural businesses and farms.

“I’d advise keeping high value items out of sight when they’re not in use and consider marking and registering them to make items identifiable and more likely to be recovered if stolen.

“It is also worth keeping a record of all valuable items.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, or via the force’s website, quoting reference number 23000113081.
