Person taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash on A496 in Gwynedd

One person has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the A496 in Gwynedd.

Police and an ambulance crew were called to the collision in Dyffyn Ardudwy shortly before 10am this morning.

The village’s High Street was closed whilst the vehicles, a Toyota Yaris and a Volkswagen Golf, were recovered.

The road was cleared just after 11am and one person was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd with unknown injuries.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said “We were called today (Thursday 21 July) at 9:43am to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles, on the High Street in Dyffyn Ardudwy.

“We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene where we transported one person to Ysbyty Gwynedd for further treatment.”
