Motorcyclist dies after crash on A494 near Dolgellau

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in a crash near Dolgellau.

Officers were called yesterday (Sunday 13 Aug) at 12.21pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A494 at Rhydymain.

Local officers attended along with North Wales Police’s roads policing unit and forensic crash investigation unit.

The Welsh Ambulance Service and Wales Air Ambulance also attended but the rider of the motorbike sadly passed away at the scene.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: “If you were travelling on the A494 around this time and witnessed the incident, or if you have dashcam footage of, or prior to it, we would like to hear from you.
