Motorbiker who travelled to Conwy area ‘for a spin’ ends up crashing and being reported for coronavirus lockdown breach

A motorbiker who travelled to the Conwy area “for a spin” ended up crashing and being reported for breaching the coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

The single vehicle collision happened on the B4407 at Ysbyty Ifan at 8.11am this morning.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is being treated for minor injuries.

North Wales Police said he had journeyed from outside the area.

Officers said it was “hardly essential travel” which then required emergency service and NHS resources.
