Man dies “after getting into difficulties in Bala Lake”

A North Wales man has sadly died after getting into difficulties in Bala Lake in Gwynedd this afternoon.

Emergency services were called at around 4.50pm.

He was recovered from the water and taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by air ambulance.

Tonight police have said the death is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s next of kin have been informed.
