A man from Gwynedd has been banned from getting behind the wheel after being caught drink driving twice in just over a week.

71-year-old William Michael O’Hagan of Abergwyngregyn was stopped in Llanfairfechan yesterday afternoon where he failed the roadside breath test.

He was also stopped on June 3rd by Penrhyn Castle where he failed the breath test and was later charged.

Magistrates dealt with both offences today and he was disqualified from driving for three years and fined £300 plus ordered to pay £85 costs.

Police said: “Choosing to drive when impaired by alcohol is dangerous and unacceptable.

“We have a zero tolerance for this type of offending so we will continue to proactively stop, arrest and put people who risk their own lives and the lives of innocent people before the courts.”
