Drunk driver visiting North Wales from West Midlands arrested after crashing into caravan
A drunk driver who was visiting North Wales was arrested after crashing into a caravan over the weekend.
The man from Cradley Heath in the West Midlands was caught following the incident in the Dyffryn Ardudwy area of Gwynedd on Sunday night.
North Wales Police said: “The heavily intoxicated male was arrested for refusing to provide a sample for the roadside breath test but blew 89 on the intoxilyzer machine in Caernarfon custody. That is just over two times the drink drive limit.”
A local man from the Barmouth area was also arrested on the same night in Ynys, Talsarnau for drink driving.
He blew 80 at the roadside and 74 on the intoxilyzer machine in Caernarfon custody, which is also just over two times the drink drive limit.
Police said the driver was charged and will now face a day in court.
