Driver from Middlesex reported for breaching coronavirus rules after travelling 221 miles to visit North Wales

A driver has been reported for breaching coronavirus lockdown restrictions after travelling 221 miles to visit North Wales.

The individual drove all the way from Middlesex to Tywyn in Gwynedd today before being approached by police.

Officers said they were instructed to return home and have reiterated the stay at home message.

They added: “Restrictions in Wales remain. We look forward to welcoming visitors back when safe to do so.”
