Driver caught doing over double the speed limit over Britannia Bridge

A driver has been caught doing over double the speed limit over the Britannia Bridge today.

Officers said the individual was clocked travelling at 106mph in the 50mph zone.

The driver now faces a trip to court, along with a possible ban or fine.

Last month, a motorist was stopped on the same section of the A55 after speeding at 91mph

They were ordered to pay an immediate £500 fine at the roadside and also ordered to appear in court.
