A number of cars have been seized as part of a crackdown on anti-social driving in Porthmadog.

Police took away a total of eight cars on Saturday night in relation to nuisance driving offences, four from Black Rocks Sands and four from the car park of the town’s Tesco store.

A total of six vehicle owners were issued with Section 59 notices for anti-social driving, with a further six handed traffic offence orders for driving without due care and attention and not displaying their front number plates.

Posting on Facebook over the weekend, members of the North Wales Police Gwynedd South team said: “Did you know your vehicle can be seized for causing anti-social driving?

“Yesterday our Porthmadog policing team had a very busy shift.

“I’d say that was definitely a successful evening for policing.”
