Police are urging van and caravan owners to take steps to reduce the chances of becoming a victim of crime.

The advice comes after reports of several incidents of suspicious vehicles travelling around the Ruthin area, and people making enquiries whether vehicles and caravans are for sale.

Insp Andy Kirkham said: “We are advising everyone to take quick and easy steps to ensure their property is secure and want to remind people of the importance of using highly visible security methods such as wheel locks on trailers and caravans and steering wheel locks or additional deadlocks on van doors.”

Anyone with information relating to any suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101.

Alternatively contact the control room direct via the live webchat https://www.north-wales.police.uk/contact/live-chat-support or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
