Cars could soon be bought adjacent to Llandudno’s B&Q whilst a Gwynedd visitor centre could be demolished!

Every week in North Wales planning applications are submitted and then registered by local authorities.

Here are some applications that have come into local authorities this month, which will then be determined by each council’s planning committee or delegated for a decision by planning officers.

This list is not extensive.

Conwy

Gwrych Castle on Llanddulas Road, Abergele, has applied to Conwy County Council’s planning department for permission to retain temporary roofs installed to the entrance hall and service wing.

The castle’s management also wants to retain stage-set items temporarily for 12 months as part of its ‘visitor interpretation’.
The plans also include the installation of a new iron handrail to its gardens for safety, the conservation of a dining room window, including temporary glazing and the provision of new distribution boards/electrical supplies from an existing cabinet.

Conwy County Council’s planning department has also received an application for B&Q on Charlotte Road, Llandudno, for permission to erect a temporary standalone office building for the purpose of purchasing used motor vehicles from the public. The purchased vehicles will be stored temporarily until they are moved off-site.
