Air ambulance called to car fire on A498 in Gwynedd as road closed in both directions

An air ambulance has been called to a car fire in Gwynedd which has left a road closed in both direction.

Police and land ambulance teams are also in attendance at the incident which occurred on the A498 at Nant Gwynant, Caernarfon, between Beddgelert and Pen y Pass, shortly before 2pm this afternoon.

North Wales Police said: “The road will be closed in both directions until further notice while emergency services deal with the incident.

“Please avoid the area for the time being and take alternative routes where possible.”
