Air ambulance called after crash involving two motorbikes on A5 near Penmachno

An air ambulance has been called out after a crash involving two motorbikes in North Wales.

Emergency services were called shortly after 1.30pm this afternoon to reports of a collision on the A5 near Penmachno, Conwy.

Police and ambulance teams are currently in attendance with motorists advised the road is likely to be closed for some time with the incident occurring between the junctions with the B4407 and B4406.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called to the A5 near Penmachno, Conwy this afternoon at 1.36pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving two motorcycles.

“We have sent a rapid response vehicle and the Wales Air Ambulance to the scene where we remain as of 3.30pm.”
