Following an assault on a 63-year-old man in Llandudno Junction on Sunday evening, 8th March, 3 people have now been arrested.

A man and two teenage boys have since been released on conditional bail.

District Inspector Dafydd Curry said: “We are aware of CCTV footage being shared on social media and we still need people to come forward if they have any information to offer on what happened before or after the incident, which is not captured on the CCTV and could be relevant.”

There will be increased patrols each evening in Llandudno Junction.

Insp Curry added: “We are seeking to meet other partners and charities to address the longer term issues around diverting young people away from crime. This is not something the police alone can do. Some have already made contact with us for which I am grateful.

“I urge parents to question where your children are in the evenings, not just at the weekends and I’d ask people who are understandably upset by Sunday’s incident to be mindful of how they use social media or otherwise as they may themselves commit a criminal offence.”

Anyone who witnessed the assault or who has any with information is asked to contact PC 2925 Taylor at Llandudno Police Station quoting reference 20000148173.

The incident, that appears to have been caught on CCTV, took place on the corner of Glan-Y-Mor Road / Ferry Farm Road.
