Two men have been arrested after police seized more than 50 cannabis plants from two addresses on Anglesey.

Officers executed a warrant on December 15th under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Llanrhyddlad, where in excess of 45 cannabis plants were recovered.

It resulted in a man being arrested on suspicion of producing a Class B drug.

A further 10 cannabis plants were then seized in the Holyhead area following a separate warrant executed on December 23rd.

Another man was also arrested on suspicion of producing a Class B drug with police investigations ongoing.

Support Sergeant Iwan Jones said: “We continue to work with the public to disrupt and bring offenders to justice where they seek to produce or sell any controlled substances on the streets of North Wales.

“We would like to thank the public for their support, and I encourage anyone with information about the misuse of drugs in their area to speak with Officers or a PCSO in the community. We will act on your concerns.”

If you have information about the misuse of drugs in your area, report it to police or anonymously via Crimestoppers.
