Two men have been arrested after over 20 vehicles had their tyres slashed in Craig-Y-Don, Llandudno last night.

A 42 –year-old man from Llandudno and a 25-year-old man from Rhos-On -Sea are in custody on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of a pointed article.

Insp Dafydd Curry said: “This is a blatant attack on the entire community at a time when people have been hit hard financially.

“A significant number of cars have been damaged and I anticipate some of the owners will be key workers needing transport to get to work, people with mobility issues or people who have been made unemployed in difficult times, this is the last thing they need.”

“I am grateful for the information provided by the public and the swift response of my officers resulting in the early arrests.

“The investigation will be conducted thoroughly and will include whether the 2 men were in breach of the COVID 19 restrictions.”
