A significant amount of drugs have been seized from a house on Anglesey following a police raid.

The drugs which are believed to be cocaine, heroin and cannabis were found at a property in Llanfairpwll.

A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply following the discovery.

A second man, aged 47, was arrested at another address.

Both men were interviewed in relation to the seizures, which were made on Thursday 18th February, and later released under investigation. Enquiries led by Anglesey CID remain ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Andy Davies said: “This is a significant seizure; these drugs would have made a lot of criminals a lot of money at the expense of the harm they would have caused to our communities, so it’s immensely satisfying to have seized them before they were supplied on the streets of Anglesey and Gwynedd.

“The operation was a fast moving and dynamic situation which involved CID detectives working with uniformed colleagues to ensure that the suspects were quickly arrested and evidence secured.

“North Wales Police is committed to targeting and dismantling criminal gangs who pose the greatest threat to the public, and whose damaging influence stretches throughout Wales and beyond.

“The key to our success is working closely with the local community, and this seizure of a significant amount of drugs, and arrest of the two men is testament to this.”
