Police issue statement over reports of ‘suspicious male’ in Rhuddlan

Police have issued a statement following reports of a ‘suspicious male’ seen driving round a Denbighshire town.

Officers are investigating after the man was seen in a Black VW Polo in the Rhuddlan area between 8 and 9pm on Saturday evening.

In a post on Facebook, police said: “We are also aware of a post circulating on social media reporting the same.

“Contrary to the post, incidents of this nature are not believed to be regular occurrences, and we would like to reassure the public that we are urgently investigating this report.

“It is not believed to be linked to a separate incident reported on social media in Dyserth on 3rd October 2021.

“Anyone with information in relation to last night’s events should contact us via our live webchat facility or via 101, quoting reference Z152224.”
