Police dogs and a drone were used to hunt four suspected criminals following a pursuit in Denbighshire.

Officers from North Wales Police’s roads policing unit noticed a vehicle of interest leaving Rhyl shortly before 8.30pm last night, and when the driver failed to stop when requested, it led to a chase.

Six minutes later, the occupants of the vehicle jumped out and ran off just outside Denbigh, where local officers, police dogs and drone officers located them trying to hide in back gardens.

In total, two men and two women were arrested on suspicion of various offences including burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, and failing to stop.

Local police said: “Our investigations are ongoing and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
