Police condemn ‘appalling act’ as screws left under tyres of car parked in Snowdonia

Police are on the trail of an offender who placed screws under the tyres of a car parked in Snowdonia.

Officers described the incident which occurred at Pen Y Pass, Llanberis as “appalling”.

The motive for the act remains unknown but members of the rural crime team said the consequences could have been serious if the car suffered a blow out.

They said: “Appalling that someone thinks their justified to do such a stupid act.

“The consequences of this car heading downhill and the driver suffering a blow out are unimaginable

“We are now reviewing cameras to try and catch this irresponsible person.”
