North Wales Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after two pedestrians were seriously injured following a fail to stop collision in Morfa Nefyn on Saturday night, September 18th.

The incident happened shortly before 9:20pm when the force received a report of a one-vehicle collision on the B4412 which collided with two pedestrians before leaving the scene.

Officers attended and the man and woman were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance, where they remain with serious injuries.

Police said the vehicle was located the following day and arrested the male driver on “suspicion of several driving offences including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop and driving whilst unfit through drugs.”

A 25-year-old local man has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Emlyn Hughes of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses. He said: “We are asking anybody who may have been travelling along the B4412 just prior to the collision, and who may have dash cam, to contact us.”

Anybody with information is asked to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit via the website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 21000651614.
