Police have launched an appeal after a grim discovery was made in a village in Denbighshire.

Members of the rural crime team were called to the Trefnant area today after a sheep’s head was found dumped on the ground.

Officers believe the animal is likely to have been illegally butchered and the carcass taken away.

They are asking for anyone with information to contact them by calling 101 or using the online reporting form on the North Wales Police website.
