Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries after crash involving ambulance and car on A494 near Bala

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured following a crash in Glan-yr-Afon near Bala yesterday afternoon.
The collision involved a red and grey RIEJU motorcycle, a silver Peugeot 308 and an ambulance which happened on the A494 shortly before 4.40pm.
The emergency services attended and the male motorcyclist was airlifted to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool with life threatening injuries.
Sergeant Emlyn Hughes said: “We are urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision and who are yet to speak to us, or anybody who may have seen the motorcycle being ridden prior to the collision to come forward.
“Anybody who was travelling along the A494 around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage is also urged to contact us as soon as possible.
“The road was closed to allow officers from the forensic collision investigation unit to carry out their preliminary enquiries, and re-opened shortly after 10pm.
“We’d like to thank the motoring public and local community for their patience.”
