Man arrested after robberies at two shops in Denbighshire

A man has been arrested after two shops were robbed in Denbighshire over the weekend.

Police were called on Saturday night after incidents at the Premier Store on Henllan Street, Denbigh and McColls on Denbigh Road in Ruthin.

The robberies took place between 9.15pm and 10pm with patrol officers, a drone unit, police dogs and the CID team all sent to respond.

One has been arrested in relation to the offences and is currently in police custody.

North Wales Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses in relation to this offence, specifically a male witness from the Ruthin store who has provided a vehicle registration to staff at the location.

“Please contact North Wales Police via 101 quoting crime reference 22000018609.”
