Large cannabis growing operation discovered in house in Bangor

North Wales news and information

A large cannabis growing operation has been discovered across three floors of a house in Bangor. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

The find was made after police executed a misuse of drugs warrant at property on Caernarfon Road last night. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

North Wales Police said officers will remain in the area today. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

District Inspector Ian Roberts said: “Bangor will not be a base for organised illegal activity. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

“The businesses and partners of Bangor who are working hard to develop the city do not want it, the public will not tolerate it, our team will do everything within their legal powers to prevent it and pursue offenders via the criminal justice system.” ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

North Wales Police added: “Officers and partners will remain at the location today to secure the electricity and secure evidence. ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌

“Thank you to the community who have assisted in providing this information.” ‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌
